I have lived in Frisco for over eleven years. During that time, I have had two kids enrolled in Trent Learning Center from the time they were two or three months old until they were in school full time as kindergarteners. Since my children are five years apart, that means I have invested approximately ten years into Trent Learning Center for the care of my kids. My husband and I are both teachers and we were so thankful that TLC provided the good, stable environment that we felt was and is as close to home as possible.
The number one reason why I chose to take my kids to TLC year after year was the teachers. I have never heard of a day care keeping their employees as long and as happy as Marsha Trent and Brenda Bledsoe were able to do at TLC. Miss Patsy in the infant room not only took care of my daughter, but also took care of my son five years later! The same thing happened again in many of the other rooms with Miss Barbara, Miss Brenda, and Miss Cindy. My kids talk about how Miss Brenda would gently pat them on the back during nap time until they went to sleep. What a great feeling I had when I found out that the teachers were doing the exact same things I was doing at home to make my kids feel safe, worthwhile, and loved.
I can honestly say that I trusted my day care completely because Marsha and Brenda had hired good employees and kept them around by providing a world class day care that not only kept the kids and parents happy, but also the employees. I learned quickly from my friends that not all day care centers are run that way. I felt lucky.
As my kids entered their first year of school in the Frisco public schools, I also came to the realization that my kids were more prepared for that first year than some of the other youngsters. The public school teachers commented on how my kids knew much of the kindergarten curriculum and they already had the social skills necessary to be successful. Marsha and Brenda put the kindergarten curriculum in the four year old room so that the kids would leave the center ready to incorporate those skills. As a result, my kids were confident and proud when they entered the kindergarten classroom to notice familiar things like the alphabet, numbers, and a calendar.
I highly recommend Trent Learning Center. Our experiences have been excellent.
