History
Starting
with a very small center, the sister team of Marsha Trent and Brenda Bledsoe
incorporated from the beginning a hands-on-approach in the daily operation
of Trent Learning Center.
They are experienced and participated in all aspects of operation from
curriculum planning, teaching classes, menu planning, cooking, child
discipline, child development, janitorial, administrative duties, and any
other function necessary to operate an efficient preschool center.
The Directors
Brenda
Bledsoe has been a Director since inception. She has a Bachelor of
Social Work with an emphasis in child welfare. She has lived in
Frisco since 1980 and is married to Max Bledsoe. a
lifelong resident of Frisco. Max has been employed as a teacher/coach
at Frisco High School for more than 25
years. They are long time members of the First Baptist
Church in Frisco. They have three daughters, and one
grandchild. Max's father, Calvin Bledsoe, also has strong ties to the
children of Frisco. An elementary school has been named in his honor.
Brenda has
developed an exemplary pre-school curriculum which incorporates Christian
teaching.
Cindy
Harrison was born and raised in Frisco. She has been the Assistant
Director since 1997. She is married with four children and three
grandchildren. She is also raising two nephews. She had a home
day care for 13 years caring for many children of Frisco. Caring for
and teaching children has always been her desired
career choice.
The Owners
Marsha
Trent has lived in Frisco since 1980. She served as Director from
1986 to 2002. She holds a Bachelor's Degree specializing in Business
and Education. She worked in business related fields until opening a
pre-school in her home for one year. This led to Trent Learning
Center. Her husband, Dr. Daryl Trent, served as Frisco High School Band
Director for 28 years. He is currently the Director of Fine Arts for
Frisco ISD. They are long time members of the First Baptist
Church in Frisco and
have two daughters and two grandchildren.
